MsSS walk for MS
Do you know what MS is? MS is actually an abbreviation for the name of a disease, Multiple Sclerosis. MS is a disease, or sickness. It’s such a well-known disease that people hold fundraisers for it, so they can make money to give to doctors for research over the disease. One of the ways people fundraise for MS is having an MS Walk. But, not everyone in the MS Walk actually… well… walks. Some people are in wheelchairs because if you have MS, you might lose the ability to walk. Anyways, the walk is 3 miles long. But, you can take a shorter route that’s only 1 mile. Once me and my family went on a MS Walk, because my grandma has MS. She’s in a wheelchair. So, for the walk we took the 1 mile route. Sadly, it was raining, but we had umbrellas and ponchos to keep us dry. Last but not least, if you get hungry, they have food at the starting line. I hope that you can donate money to MS to help people with Multiple Sclerosis.
*Another way they raise money is by doing bike rides – where participants ride 150 Miles to raise money for MS research. My grandpa has been doing them for more than 20 years! If you want to donate to MS research, you can click on the donation tab on the smartyskirt.net
